It is so easy to walk through life with an individual spotlight directly over ourselves. Seeing only the immediate space around us, seeing the world solely through our own eyes and our own experiences; through blinders of what has happened to us, who was rude to us, who mistreated us. We become the most important character and the star of our own movie.
The problem is, if everyone walks around within their own spotlight, seeing only their immediate surroundings, we all walk around in the dark. Like little ‘Pac-Men’, unable to see beyond the beam of our own light; we are bound to bump into each other (and sometimes swallow each other).
When we dare to turn our little light into a big light, dare to shift the light off ourselves and onto the world around us, we discover that rudeness or mistreatment is more about the other person’s pain than it is about us. The bigger light allows us to expand our view and to see that we are truly blessed.
GO BOLDLY daring to let your light shine BIG.
